Russia produces sparkling wine too.

Abrau-Durso may raise revenues by 30 % in 2011 year-on-year to 3.5 billion rubles, said on Saturday the company’s sole owner Boris Titov .

In his opinion this year, Abrau-Durso’s sparkling wine production will amount to 16.5 million bottles. When the company reaches 30 million annual output it plans to stop raising production volumes of sparkling wine.

«We can afford this volume in Russia for our prices, then we will develop still wine in our production site in Gelendzhik and will launch production of premium and sub premium still wines, most likely in 2013,» said Titov.

The company also mulls to invest in leasing vacant vineyards in South Russia’s village of Abrau Durso.
